The tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Siem Reap and you will visit the following places:
- At 8:00 am - Start from the Angkor Thom South Gate.
- Visit the Bayon Temple - the silent witnesses of time. The 216 enigmatic faces gaze over the horizon, and one can only wonder what they have seen throughout the ages.
- Proceed to Prasat Baphuon, with its long causeway and an impressive giant reclining Buddha, a jigsaw puzzle only put back together in 2011 following a 37 year-long disruption caused by the war.
- Head on to the Royal Palace, first built by king Suryavarman I and used continuously from the 11th to the late 16th century AD.
- Visit Phimeanakas, hiding in the shaded jungle, offering a decent over-the-tree-tops view to those who conquer the steep steps to the top.
- Continue to the Terrace of the Elephants & the Terrace of the Leper King, both located in Angkor Thom.
- After the lunch break, head to the historic Angkor Wat temple complex - the largest religious monument ever built.
- The tour guide will drop you at your accommodation in Siem Reap.
