Dive deep into the religious tour of this city, often known as the gateway to Angkor ruins of the Khmer empire. Begin with sunrise views over Angkor Wat temples and then visits Ta Prohm, Phnom Kulen Mountain, Banteay Samre and other significant places.

  • Day 1: Angkor Wat to Angkor Thom expand_more
    • Meet your guide at 4:50 am for an Angkor Wat sunrise. This temple complex is one of the largest monuments in the world with the masterpiece of scriptures of Hinduism legends that belonged to one of the seven finest world heritages on earth.

    • Head back to the hotel for breakfast and relaxation.

    • Start your tour near Angkor Thom South gate - which was the last city of the Khmer empire and consists of a large moat and steep enclosure in front of the four faces of the south gate.

    • Continue to Bayon where there are many faces on the four side of the towers for Maha Yana Buddhism who represents 4 noble minds of Buddha in deep heart smiles and peaceful icons.

    • Walk straight to Baphoun, a Hindu temple built before Angkor Wat in the 11th century and see the big Reclining Buddha behind, that was built in the 16th century. Then, continue to see the Royal Palace Enclosure nearby with its Elephant & Liper King Terrace in the complex of Angkor Thom.

    • Continue to the outside of Angkor Thom area and after that to Ta Nie which was built by Jayavarman VII and dedicated to his ancestor for a Buddhist monastery with its giant trees growing up along the roof and enclosures.

    • Get to Ta Prohm temple on a small circuit road, that has a lot of gigantic trees growing all over the temple. This temple is also the place where the Hollywood film "Tomb Raider"  was also made. 

    • Return to hotel.

  • Day 2: Phnom Kulen & Banteay Samre expand_more
    • Meet your guide to go to the Phnom Kulen Mountain, a lost city of the Khmer empire for the king God ceremony of King Jayamaran II. 

    • Drive through cliff areas with jungles wherein we can see a modern monastery alongside green nature views, insects and flowers (during the rainy season) along the path. Then, we head to see the Holy Thousand Lingams, a sacred pond, a big Buddha reclining image and an amazing natural waterfall.

    • Have lunch at a local restaurant at the bottom of the Phnom Kulen mountain.

    • Continue with a visit to the Banteay Srei for its pink sandstone and masterpiece carvings of small ritual decorations with the best pictures on lintels and frontages in pink styles.

    • Stop to see Sugar Palm village - a place where one will see local people making sugar palm. Or else, one can also stop around here to see the Landmine Museum.

    • Continue to visit Banteay Samre - a  single tower over the shine and flanked by two libraries and two concentric gallery enclosures. This was built by King Suryavarman II for God Shiva.

    • Proceed to see the Pre Rup temple that has 5 levels that you might get to enjoy with very nice views if you get to the top of this temple.

    • Return to hotel and rest.

  • Day 3: Preah Khan & Bakeng temple expand_more
    • Proceed to visit the Preah Khan temple, which was built by King Jayavarman VII dedicated to his father. It is a huge, highly exportable monastic complex, and served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks.

    • Continue to visit Neak Poan, a small island temple located in the middle of the last Barray, constructed by a Khmer King in the Angkor Area.

    • Visit the nearby Ta Som temple, a small but classic, East Mebon,  temple-mountain like ruin, rising three levels and crowned by five towers on the grand circuit road.

    • Relax for lunch and then continue to Banteay Kdei. This was also built by King Jayavarman VII in the 12th  century in Bayon style but it is less complex with smaller structures that are contained within two successive enclosure walls. This temple also consists of two concentric galleries. 

    • Move to Kravan temple (built in the 9th century) that lays significance to Vishu God by King Isan Vardaman I. This temple is made of bricks, laterites and sandstones with pink scriptures inside the towers along with an installation of the Holy Shiva Lingam.  

    • Head to the Bakeng temple for glorious sunset views around the temple with the Linga of Shiva, mountain views and the Angkor Wat towers. Note: There is a limit to the tourists on Bakeng mount. So, we will get you there early.

    • Enjoy a Buffet dinner and watch Cambodian traditional performances for insights into arts from the Khmer empire.

  • Day 4: Kampong Pluk expand_more
    • Your Cambodian guide will meet you at 8:00 in the lobby and take you to Kampong Pluk, a floating village. This village lies near Tonle Sap - the second largest fresh water in the world, located at the heart of Cambodia. Fishing is possible for all seasons here.  

    • Relax on a boat ride here and cruise along mangrove trees, fish farms and clear waters.

    • Have lunch at a local restaurant followed by a visit to Beng Mealea - an ancient complex in the middle of forests with green plants entwined in the roof or walls.

    • Return to the hotel at night in the city.
