  • Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha expand_more
    • Pick up after breakfast from your Nairobi hotel/airport. Drive past Nairobi to Lake Naivasha with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint to take photos (15-20 minutes).
    • Proceed to Lake Naivasha with a stop at Hell's Gate National Park for a walking safari in a savannah ecosystem where various bird species are found, including Vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, Augur buzzards, and Swifts. In Hell's Gate, you can also encounter wild animals such as African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons, as well as the Klipspringer antelope.
    • After the tour, check into your lodge for a hot lunch and some rest in your room.
    • In the late evening, around 16:30, you will have the option to enjoy a boat ride on the blue Lake Naivasha. Return to the lodge for an overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Sawela Lodge (L D).
  • Day 2: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park expand_more
    • Depart from Lake Naivasha after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its millions of pink flamingos and pelicans. It is regarded by avid birdwatchers as the greatest ornithological spectacle on Earth. The park is also a sanctuary for the Black Rhino, White Rhino, and the Rothschild Giraffe. Birdlife includes common species like the lesser and greater flamingoes, African fish Eagles, Tawny eagles, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans, plus other intra-African migrants.
    • Arrive in time for lunch and check in at your lodge. Expect to see a Giraffe, White Rhino, Buffalo, Zebra, Hippo, Black Rhino, Lion, and Leopard.
    • Proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park, which has a dense population of other wildlife, before returning for dinner and an overnight stay at Sarova Woodlands Hotel/Lodge or similar (B L D).
  • Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve expand_more
    • After breakfast, leave for Masai Mara Game Reserve, a landscape of grassy plains and rolling hills, crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. This area is one of the few places left on Earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed. Wildlife in Maasai Mara includes lions, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos. The annual wildebeest migration also occurs here.
    • Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Serena or Keekorok Lodge or a similar accommodation. Then, embark on an afternoon game drive. Expect to see elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and the Nile crocodile.
    • Return to the lodge for all meals included and overnight stay at Masai Mara Basecamp, Mara Serena, or Keekorok Lodge, or similar (B L D).
  • Day 4: Masai Mara Plains - Full Day in the Game Reserve expand_more
    • Spend another full day in Maasai Mara on unlimited game drives, exploring the park in search of the Big Five.
    • Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Serena or Keekorok Lodge or similar. Maasai Mara offers an incredible variety and abundance of wildlife, with over 450 species of animals recorded here. 
    • You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, various antelope species, and elephants. The annual wildebeest and zebra migration is a spectacular event in Maasai Mara.
  • Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi expand_more
    • Enjoy pre-breakfast game drives, then drive to Nairobi via Narok to arrive by 15:00 hrs, where the tour ends.
