Day 1: Naru Moru Town to Naru Moru Park Gate to Met Station expand_more
After being picked up from Nairobi Airport, you will drive to Naru Moru town, situated in Nyeri County, and then towards the Naru Moru park gate.
Pay the entrance fees to proceed. Then, you will be introduced to other group members on this same trekking journey and begin the 9.5 km trek to the Met Station Hut.

Day 2: Met Station to Mackinders Camp expand_more
- After breakfast, team preparations will be followed by a hike through steep terrain on the Naro Moru route to reach the Mackinders camp. The hike can be about 12.5 km in total. Here, you will cross the Naro Moru River.
- You will rest and sleep at Mackinders camp at night.

Day 3: Summiting Point Lenana expand_more
Wake up early at 03:30 am, have a cup of tea, and then begin the hike through the Austrian Hut route to finally reach the summit of Point Lenana (4,985 m). This hike will take about 3 hours, and you will be rewarded with beautiful sunrise views at the top of Mount Kenya and surrounding mountain ranges.

Day 4: Mackinders Camp to Shipton Camp expand_more
- Today, your group or team will cross this side of the mountain with the Lenana Point peak and proceed to the other side to reach Shipton camp (4,200 m).
- Here, one can do serene nature walks.
- Spend the night here at this camp.

Day 5: Shipton Camp to Old Moses Camp expand_more
After breakfast, spend the whole day trekking from Shipton Camp to Old Moses Camp. At this camp, one can have dinner, supper and rest/sleep.
The next morning, we will check out of the camp and descend 9 km to Sirimon Gate, where we will sign out of the mountain region. We will then drive to Nairobi to end the tour.

Know before you go
Accommodation per head in the camping room at Met Station, Mackinders, Shipton and Old Moses is 2000 per head per night. Transport is for all, while accommodation is only for clients.
This tour is for a group of between 3-5 clients. Using the Naru Moru route and coming out through the Sirimon route after summiting at Point Lenana (4,985 m), one can experience the nature of the mountain and view beautiful scenery, including peaks, glaciers, lakes, gorge valleys, wildlife and also the beautiful sunrise at Lenana Point.
