Enjoy a peaceful country walk through the stunning sceneries of Chianti: a day-tour to discover the real Tuscany, to experience its nature and its charming history. It is the land of the world-renowned wines, a land dotted with Medieval villages, cypress-lined avenues winding through beautiful vineyards.     • Meet in Siena with the guide and transfer to the Chianti area (or meet directly in the Chianti).

    • Start the walk (an easy-medium hike along gravel roads and paths).

    • Stop along the route to visit a wine farm, with explanations and tastings.

    • Eat lunch at a local organic restaurant at the end of the walk. 

    • Enjoy a pleasant afternoon stroll to Castellina in Chianti and/or other hamlets (with the best gelato in town if you wish!).

    • Return to your accommodation.

What to bring

Appropriate hiking shoes are FUNDAMENTAL, no flat sole (trainers are fine but only with sufficient tread, for a good grip on gravel roads).

Wear comfortable clothes for walking and be ready for any weather (best wear in layers).

Depending on the season, bring raincoats/umbrellas just in case..in addition to hats and sunglasses (as I am optimistic!).

Water bottle/canteen is also needed (0.5 to 1 liter) as well as a snack (e.g. fruit).
