Know before you go
Primitivo di Manduria (the dry and the sweet one: one of the few Italian wine that can be paired with dark chocolate), Negramaro, Salice Salentino.
In Salento, there is an old and interesting tradition of rosè wines and the white wines (also the sparkling ones) are improving a lot in the last years.
Depending on your interests, we can choose the kind of wineries to visit (from the biggest ones to the smallest ones, from the best value for money ones to the most expensive and exclusive ones)
We can add a visit to a vineyard (from the end of August to the end of September it's also possible to take part in the grape harvest and to learn about the winemaking techniques), to a wine museum (i.e. the Museum of the Primitivo Wine of Manduria where it's possible to understand the history of wine in Manduria, its tradition and identity), to a masseria (a typical Apulian farmhouse).
