- Begin the tour in Piazza della Signoria, where the original David stood for over 350 years. Here you will also admire other great works by other master sculptors like Giambologna and Benvenuto Cellini.
Proceed to Piazza Duomo, the Cathedral square. Here you will discover where the statue was originally intended to be placed.
Make your way to the Accademia Gallery, passing the Medici Palace, where Michelangelo spent the early years of his career under the tutelage of his patron and mentor, Lorenzo the Magnificent. The gallery is home to Michelangelo's original masterpiece and also houses other sculptures that were left unfinished by him.
