Depart from your accommodation in Reykjavik in the evening for a place not affected by the city lights. Where we go depends on the cloud cover and the activity forecast.
Please note that the lights are elusive, and sighting cannot be guaranteed. Also, note that the strength of the lights varies. On some nights, they may be so faint you will not see them with your bare eyes. The guide usually brings a camera along and shares pictures.

Know before you go
This tour is available from 15 September to 15 April. In summer, it's too light to see the lights.
Hunt for the northern lights in Iceland with a guide
No charge if the conditions are poor and the tour is cancelled
Although the lights cannot be guaranteed, you certainly improve the odds by visiting in the season and hiring an experienced local guide.
