Excellent - had a amazing time in Transnistria and Cricova with Oleg

Thank you Oleg for taking us around - there was never a dull moment during the whole day, the whole day was perfect.

Oleg was very flexible with our requests including a last minute inclusion to visit Cricova (he arranged it all for us), handling our border controls at Transnistria, showing us all the sites with detailed explanation, taking us to lunch in Transnistria and taking us to buy souvenirs at a hidden shop! Oleg greatly enhanced our understanding of Moldova and Transnistria with his excellent knowledge and outgoing humorous personality.  I highly recommend his services to anyone interested in touring Moldova & Transnistria!

Great tour to Transnistria with Oleg

Reviewed September 4, 2016

I booked a 1 day tour to Transnistria with my guide Oleg Grachila, and I enjoyed every minute! Firstly Oleg's English is perfect, he also brought his own nice, comfortable car and took care of all the border formalities which went smoothly. We drove to the nearby town of Bender and visited the War Memorial dedicated to the people who lost their lives in the civil war of 1991-92, also a park with a cemetary and memorial to those who lost their lives in WW11. after Bender we drove on to Transnistria's capital, Tiraspol, a lovely, spotlessly clean city and really an open-air museum of the  Soviet Era. We parked the car and walked all around town, visiting 3 war memorials, W11, the Afghan war and the Civil war of 1991-92, lovely parks, the Palace of Youth Culture, streets with Soviet names, and of course statues of VI Lenin! Oleg changed money for me, enough to buy some good coffees at the town's many kiosks, and an excellent lunch! After lunch we strolled up the main boulevard and visited another statue of Lenin in front of the classical early 20th Century  Russian style university, the state Theatre and Opera and crossed over a picturesque bridge over the Dniester river. Oleg left nothing out, and it was a full day of about 8 hours. I was very pleased with the tour, and would highly recommend Oleg as a guide, punctual, professional, and a great personality!
