Our Egypt Trip

Reviewed October 9, 2016

We first met Gad years ago and he was so incredible I became friends with him on Facebook. I can't say I am friends with any other tour guide I have ever met on my travels and that's because Gad was more than just a guide. He treated us like we were his guests. And there was a large group of us too; at least 10-13 people. He answered our many, many questions patiently and made sure that the shops and restraunts we visited were safe, and we weren't charged outrageous tourist prices. He was able to navigate entrance fees, shuttle fees, and our transportation and food needs with ease. All with honesty and integrity. There was no need for us to negotiate prices with all the vendors that our big touristy group encountered. What's more, he was quite knowledgeable of everything Cairo and the Pyramids had to offer.  There is no way I would have learned as much from an audio recording or the internet or a guide book. Gad had deep knowledge of things only a passionate, studied individual who loves his countrys history could. He taught us about the region while also looking out for our safety and well being. It was like visiting your professor uncle in Egypt.

I would highly recommend a guide if visiting Egypt and Gad in particular if you are in Cairo or the surrounding area. He definitely made our trip a once in a lifetime experience and enabled us to enjoy ourselves while he worried about logisitcs and education.

When I met Gad

Reviewed October 7, 2016

Egypt is an interesting place. At times it is hard to navigate. Among all that people will offer, few will turn out genuine.

I met Gad in 2005. He is one of the few and I am honoured to still call him a friend. To him this is more than a job; it is a lifestyle. His passion for his subject is real and this easily translates when you talk to him.
