I felt this is the first time ever for my India trip I made not only good but the right decision going with Banti for my Calcutta tour. She is the best tour guide I have ever and all that I can ask for. I shared with Banti the things I am interested in for my full-day tour, one of the place was the old glorious (albeit dilapidated) house of the babus. She happily tweaked that and walked with me thru Kumartuli. Walking passed the beautiful homes of the babus and listening to her recount of the history of the babus is like going back in time and living the story in a story book. I asked her many things during the trip and she answered in such clear, understandable digestible way. Banti is also alert. She would stop her explanation if there is something worth seeing or explaining on the spot , so we dont lose the “golden moment”. She took you to good restaurant as well for a true blue Bengali lunch and I had the most delicious fish dish and egg plant dish. I also tried tbe Bengali sandhesh today at the Girish Chandra Dey & Nakur Chandra Nandy. First time ever I felt I have a “proper guide”. I appreciate all the historical facts from her told as if she was the one who narrated it. I learned so much from her and I wish I could spend another day with her so I can learn more. Calcutta became like a familiar stranger thru’ Banti’s sharing.

Bratati was professional and punctual. She arranged travel and took us to many excellent sites, including the flower market and St Johns and others. Very knowledgeable about culture and history. Loved the story about how Kolkata got its name. Highly recommend!!

I was organizing a trip on my own to Sikkim, Bhutan and Kolkata. I was having difficulty in getting information and booking for Sundarban Tiger Resort. On arriving in Kolkata we did not waste a minute. A very professional driver with good knowledge of all tourist destinations was arranged. He was with us for the next few days. We had arrived in Kolkata late in the afternoon and for the same evening a very romantic cruise was arranged. Every minute was professionally planned. She helped us in choosing the restaurants and even suggested the perfect spots and shops for our shopping. In the short time of our stay we had visits to religious places, had romantic cruise, covered most of the tourist places, tasted all types of local and specialty restaurants and still could spend more than a day in the tiger resort (We did not see any tiger). Her charges were very reasonable. She charged us only for her time.

Ms. Bratati Saha treats her guests fairly. She is friendly, well mannered, very humorous and with perfection. She is organized, very punctual ,found very knowledgeable, She sheduled our tour program in excellent and professional manner. She is also very caring.  She woud send us reminders and keep us in contact when we were on our own  in some part of the trip. .
