We had Sugu as a guide in Chennai and were looking for a particular dance program. She went out of her way to find it, plus she suggested a tour for the following day, when we had nothing to do. Her English is good. She is different from most guide we have had in that she was our first female guide. hence she had many different opinions on life in India.

Sugu expected to give us a regular tour of Madras, but she heard that we had asked for a tour to the Dutch heritage in Pulicat. She quickly changed plans and was able to get our Indian travel agent to book her for us for the day. We had an address not too far from the hotel to go to first. Miscommunication over the phone It took her and her driver too long to find this place. After that all went smoothly and we had a very pleasant day with her in Pulicat.
