I was arriving on a cruise ship in Cozumel  I wanted to see the Mayan ruins but did not want to get on a bus with 30-40 other people, so I did a search for "private tour guide Cozumel" on google and that is how I found tourhq.com.  I prepared my request and within a day received a proposed itinerary from Hugo Villagomez.  I was able to communicate with him directly to discuss the tour itinerary prior to confirming the booking.   He picked me up where and when he said he would.   He had a driver for us, so he was able to devote all of his attention to the tour.  He took me on a great tour of the Mayan Ruins of Tulum (Mexico).   He also took me to other places that I would have never gone to on a cruise ship excursion including a cenote (naturally occurring sink hole for swimming) and an incredible museum in the jungle call Sfer Ik.  He took care of everything in advance including all entrance entrance fees, reservations for entry, snacks and water.  He was extremely knowledgeable of the area, the history of the region and the Mayan people and the overall region in general.   He got me back to the boat on time with extra time for shopping Playa del Carmen before I took the ferry back to Cozumel (the cost of the ferry to Cozumel was not included in the tour). At first I thought the price was a little high ($345 for 6 hours private tour), but in the end it was well worth it.   He actually gave me $20 off which I passed on as a tip for the driver.   All in all it was amazing tour and I would highly recommend Hugo Villgomez for a tour of this region in the Yucatan.
