Perfect Family Trip

Reviewed September 24, 2014

There were 12 of us (4 kids) . The goal was to see as much of Israel as we could in 2 weeks. Joe made it happen by masterfully planning the whole trip. We did not wait in a single line. Hotel stays, transportation, meals - all fell into place perfectly. The itinerary was packed and accomodated kids' activities - still was entertaining for adults. We managed to see the whole country and did not feel exhausted. Joe is a masterful story-teller. When touring Masada, he was dressed as King Herod. While telling stories, he would change hats to indicate a change of character and time. Other tourists were stopping to take pictures of Joe. :) Not surprisingly, all kids still remember the story of King Herod The Great. The whole trip was an incredible and memorable experience. I would have never been able to get such a deep understanding of the culture and history and spirituality of the people of Israel if it weren't for Joe - his vast knowledge and the ability to share it in such an entertaining way. If you are looking for an experience of your life, ask Joe to be your guide on the Israel journey. You will bring home unforgettable memories and stories of Israel.

Our family of 12 - 3 generations, ages 9 to 73 - had an amazing tour with Joe Freedman in June, 2012. With his help, we created an itinerary that had something for everyone. He is totally knowledgeable about history and locations, and possesses a wonderful sense of humor. Joe is able to modify itineraries when that is necessary to maximize the experience or when options are necessary. He manages to leave his clients/participants with an enhanced love of the Land, as well as a deep desire to return. He is absolutely outstanding.

Joe is the best

We took our extended, multigenerational family of 14 to Israel for two weeks and were fortunate to have Joe as I guide. We have had many guides over the years in many countries, including Israel, and Joe was the best we have ever had, anywhere. He was great with grandparents and eight year olds. He kept the three thirteen year olds excited and focused. He was experienced, fun, friendly, smart, efficient, knowledgeable and everything else one could want in a guide. I highly recommend him, Lonnie Edelheit

I was on a Taglit trip that was led by Joe and it was one of the most amazing trips I could have asked for. Not just because of the breathtaking sites and incomparable people I shared it with. The trip was elevated to levels I didn't know were possible by Joe's educational and entertaining guidance. We learned a lot and we laughed a lot and when the ten days came to an end I was truly sad to go! An incredibly wonderful tour guide and a mensch just as well!

We have had a number of Israeli guides over the years. Joe Freedman was the best. As an American, he is fully bilingual and has a cultural appreciation of the needs of American tourists. As a long time educator, he has great pedagogic sense, in particular with the teens. He loves Israel and this shines in his guide. HIGHLY recommend.
