We enjoyed our time with Cecil. He was very good at explaining the large picture of the fortification facing Germany, how the battles of Verdun played out, and he did it with a bit of humor when discussing some topics. Very nice day

Wonderful day with Cecil touring and learning about the battles of Verdun and the Meuse Argonne. He is very knowledgeable and has a warm and engaging personality. I have done at least a dozen private tours with various guides. I think this on was the most value for the price of all of them. If you’re going to Verdun, make sure you hire Cecil.

If you are planning a visit to Verdun, please, please, please hire Cecil to be your guide. I'll be honest, I was going to Verdun because my son wanted to go there. It was probably one of the least things I was interested in. It ended up one of my favorite days on our entire trip. My husband and son felt the same way. Cecil was incredibly patient and went above and beyond to show us the important sites in this heartbreaking battle. His stories and information made it come alive. I walked away with a much deeper understanding of how this battle affected the French people and what it meant in the country's history. It would not have been possible to reach this level of appreciation without Cecil.

A brilliant tour. Communication Cecil responded promptly and efficiently to all emails and Whatsapp in arranging the details of the tour. His written and verbal English is excellent. Planning Cecil planned a great 1/2 day tour hitting all of the highlights for us, adapting the tour to meet the mobility needs of the group. Knowledge Cecil's knowledge of WWI, the Battle of Verdun, the geopolitical forces before, during and after the war was very impressive. He gave us both broad sweeps of the war yet conveyed intimate details of soldier's stories to make the tour deeply emotional. We've done several battlefield tours in the past few years, Ypres, the Somme, Gallipoli and Normandy and Cecil has been by far the best tour guide. It was a privilege to spend time in his company.
