I've worked with Raj at Adeventure Thirdpole for close to two decades now and have done everything in Nepal from the most adventurous remote trek (Upper Dolpo) to a cushy getaway at a jungle lodge. Whatever your needs, Raj can take care of you, and will do so professionally and at a fair price, and always taking care of the staff, which is very important. 

My husband and I are city-folk, so when we decided to do a trek in the Himalayas of Nepal we were admittedly nervous. Thankfully Raj and Thirdpole Treks took great care of us. He was super supportive and communicative. So much so, that I got ill the day we were meant to leave for our trek and he was running to the pharmacy to get me medications and was incredibly patient and helpful when we were deciding what to do. Thankfully, I was ok and we continued succesfully!  He was so knowledgable about the trails, the mountain and overally Nepalese history and culture. He was helpful not only with us, but with fellow friends and independent trekkers we met along the way. Highly recommend Raj and his team. 

I have done 2 4-week treks and two mission trips with Raj Dangol and Adventure Thirdpole Treks.

I did the round Annapurna Trek, plus Chitwan and various other sightseeing on one trip; the Everest Basecamp trek plus the east side of the Annapurna trek on a second trip. Then I led two different 3-week mission trips from our church. Those trips included elderly people - the average age on one trip was 76 years old!

Thirdpole is completely adaptable. They can lead traditional treks, or design a van tour or anything in between. They meet you at the airport on arrival, arrange all rooms, meals, transportation including domestic flights, permits, etc. etc. Their English speaking guides are the best, and quite knowledgeable. They have their own porters who are well clothed and taken care of.

Another relatively important thing is that they are very inexpensive...far less than the larger agencies.
