An excellent and sensitive guide

Reviewed January 19, 2018

Arjun shoed all the qualities I could ask for in a guide for this region. He always kept to time, planned exciting treks, but ones that showed an awareness of my needs (as a partially-sighted  traveller) , interests - and energy levels! He has a responsible approach to trekking, respecting nature and the environment. I found him very well-informed and informative, both about the immediate surroundings and Nepal as a whole: a fluent and engaging communicator in English. The conversation always flowed in two directions and was never excessive:   so Arjun was an excellent companion and not simply a guide. He is  an enthusiastic advocate for Nepal, and I'm looking forward to the next chance to trek with him

Best guide for Manaslu Trek!

Reviewed January 1, 2018

My friend and myself went to Nepal in October 2014 to hike the Manaslu trek (12 day tea house trekking hike). Arjun was our guide and made our Nepal & Manaslu trekking experience fabulous!

Arjun showed during his trip to be a very knowledgeable, humorous and flexible guide. He teached us a lot about the life in Nepal, knows his treks very well to make his guests feel comfortable and is always in for some good talks and jokes.

He made our trip very special and I would highly recommend Arjun as a guide if you want to learn more about the country, the treks and want to have great and fun time! If I go back to Nepal for a new trek, no doubt I will book with him again!

Amazing guide, Amazing trekking

Reviewed December 30, 2017

A friend and I travelled to Nepal in November to complete the Everest Base Camp trek.Arjun, our guide, was amazing. He met us at the airport as we arrived and arranged transport to our hotel. Tired from travelling, this was just what we needed, a perfect start. The "Hotel Buddy" was of an excellent standard and a welcome break from the busy Kathmandu streets.

After a couple of days touring around Kathmandu with Arjun, we headed back to the airport to catch our flight to Lukla (already pre-booked by Arjun before our arrival). This flight was a great experience in itself, flying through the Himalayas and then safely landing at such a unique airport.

Throughout the 12 day trek, Arjun was an excellent leader and guide with knowledge of the environment and culture that is second to none. We were so glad that we had booked a private guide rather than one of the many group packages that we saw along the route. It felt like a much more personal experience, which we gained so much more from than other generic large groups.

Every night's accommodation was pre-booked by Arjun, rooms ready as we arrived each day. Food options were much better than we expexted, all included in the trek price, this catering system worked really well. In the evenings, rather than always sitting with the other guides, Arjun would often play cards with us (after a few days we had 3 or 4 guides regularly sitting with us). This really gave our trek a personal touch, we were able to learn much more able their lives and culture than we would have done in a big group.

As we got to higher altitude safety became more of a concern. Arjun's knowledge of altitude related illnesses was excellent, keeping us aware of signs and symptoms. If we were feeling rough we had the option of taking a rest day or trekking more slowly. This is an essential acclimatisation factor, an option that you may not get in a larger group or organisation.

Overall, we could not have wished for a better guide for our Base Camp trek. Arjun provides a professional, educational and, above all, friendly and social experience.

Would recommend to friends and family of any age or ability, he's that good!

Thank you Arjun!

Manaslu Circuit and Everest Base Camp + Gokyo

Reviewed December 24, 2017

Arjunwas our guide in 2014 Manaslu Circuit trek. As a result ofthe disastrous storm the high passes were not passable. AtThorong La the storm caused many casualties. Arjun wasvery flexible in changing our itinerary. The whole trek was forus a very rewarding experience. We were impressed by his botanicalknowledge.

In2016 he organized our tip and was our guide on EBC and Gokyo. It wasan amazing, completely logistic worry-free trip. He picked us up fromthe airport drove to the hotel. The next day Jeep took us to Jiriwere we started our trek. During the trek we made extra night atTukla to get better altitude acclimatization. With Arjun help we haveachieved all our goals. At the and of both trips we were treated byArjun with the excellent genuine Nepalese dinner.

Wehighly recommend Arjun as a guide and a trek organizer.
