George was an outstanding guide on our tour of the Cape Peninsula. He provided us with interesting and informative information about the region, its history and flora and fauna - even going off the traditional tourist tracks in search of animals and plants.  We had a fabulous day, finishing it all off superbly at the Groot Constantia for a little wine tasting. 

George guided my wife, myself and two other couples on a 12 day bespoke Micato safari.  Our trip included 3 nights in Cape Town and 3 nights each in Singita lodges in Sabi Sands and Krueger National Park and 3 nights in Abu Camp in Botswana.  George is amazing.   Lori and I have enjoyed exceptional experiences with guides around the world.  None can hold a candle to George.  His knowledge everywhere we went was exceptional.  He was clearly beloved by those staff members that knew him at each lodge (there were many).  His sense of humor and delivery were great fun.  He has a passion for what he does (or he's a phenomenal actor) and his passion made our experience so rewarding.  George showed and taught us so much about life in Cape Town and the Cape region and shared much about what life there is and has been like - including the very difficult elements of SA history.  George is just an awesome human being and we felt so privileged to be able to spend so much time with him.  And he made every aspect of our experience seamless.  I thought from time to time how different our experience would have been without George.  He has spoiled us for life.  Anything any of us could imagine we just said - George - how about....and it happened.

George Meyer is a significant reason we just experienced our finest vacation experience of our lives.  His passion for life, Africa, wildlife, and the environment was contageous.  He has a wealth of knowledge that he effectively shares with his clients.  Friendly, caring, funny, and loving are only a few of his traits.  He was a key ingredient to the experience we had on our African adveture.  I highly recommend Goerge Meyer, without any reservations, for guiding services in South Africa and Botswana.

Our experience with George was really great, highly recommend him for anyone going to Cape Town area. It all started with an incredible last minute request from us for a tour, for which he quickly responded with a few options. He picked us up on time and, throughout the day, made all de adjustments we needed to tailor the tour for our specific needs – not being forced to necessarily follow a script, which was really awesome! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the South African history, culture, geography, ways of leaving, etc … knowledge shared with us throughout the day, keeping us entertained while we drove for out though the wine country. George did a great job of customizing our travel and sightseeing to the needs of our group. He was able to provide historical background and cultural context. We appreciated his ability to get us through crowds quickly and get us a table with a wonderful view at the restaurant at Table Mountain. I would definitely recommend him as a guide for sightseeing in South Africa.
