We as a Belgium Family have been travelling a lot (South Africa, Kenia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Mexico, United States and of course Brazil ). If you ask our family which one was the nicest experience? We definetly remember the trip with Carlos Damasceno as one of the nicest trips ever. Carlos takes you right into the amazone at places were nobody comes. He knows the amazone as the pocket of his trousers and has a lot of interesting stories to tell about the amazone. He is a gentle men, and makes your trip exactly how you want it. During the evening he takes you in a wooden Canoe (with litlle engine) into the mangroves. (unforgettable). Back at his boat there is a gorgeous dinerl waiting for you with a beer, glass of wine, or caprahina . We stayed in the most luxurious hotels when we travelled, and choose with Carlos for the open boat and slept in hammocks. We all have forgotten the luxury hotels we stayed (they are all te same) but never will forget the trip we made in the open boat going into the amazone. If your looking and are interested to see the amazone in real life and feel it, we all recommend Carlos. I don't know how he does it. But he gives you an experience for your live time, I never will forget our trip and I defintely will be back one day maybe with my grand children? Best experience ever and the family still talks about it.

My husband and I took a private, 16 day trip down the Rio Negro with Carlos Damasceno as our guide. We found Carlos helpful, informative, friendly and trustworthy. He organised everything for us and tailored the trip to our tastes. We wanted to see the more out of the way places and true wilderness areas, being interested in natural history. Carlos ensured this. For example, his network of contacts, meant we could explore the more remote areas without fear of being lost. I am a botanist and Carlos introduced us to one of his Brazilian-Indian mates who could take us to a remote area where an insectivorous plant that was new to science grew. I would highly recommend Carlos as a guide.

We took a tour with Carlos to Amazon Rain forest for 4 or 5 days. It's such an unforgettable memory! He's really quite experienced in the guiding and his team also offered many delicious meals for us! We really appreciate it!

My brother and I with two of his adult children spent 12 days cruzing the Amazon last year. Carlos provided an experience that was tailored to our requests. His team was well prepared to respond to all our needs. What he said we would see, we did. We hiked, boated, fished, interacted with the locals, and listened to stories about the areas people and culture. The tour had the right balance of comfort and primitive experiences.

My husband and I traveled the Amazon with Carlos Damasceno and his crew of 4 in May 2014 for 10 days. The group was very friendly and dedicated. We felt secure traveling with this group in the vast Amazon river where animals and beauty was everywhere. We just relaxed, ate and explored the river. A small boat allowed us to enter the naturally flooded Amazon and find beautiful birds, landscapes and yes, natives passing by. We saw a sloth swimming in the middle of the Amazon. The pink dolphin was fantastically cute and friendly as it came straight from the middle of the river to say hello and to be petted. There were monkeys of different types everywhere and they made their characteristic sounds. Carlos had several friends along the river including one family in the Amazon forest who welcomed us graciously and we all had lunch together. This friend joined us during small boat rides and walks in the forest to share his experience. Carlos made the trip a personalized trip to us by looking for things that we liked to do and see, for example orchids and natural flowers, fantastic walks in the Amazon forest where he shared with us his knowledge of the forest. We fished piranhas and watched Carlos catch by hand several baby alligators which soon would go back into the water. We brought back around 6 thousand pictures and a lot of great memories. We highly recommend this trip.
