Mr. Jack Pumba Ntema

Reviewed August 2, 2019

We recently completed a 7 day Safari through Chobe National Park, Savuti and Khwai with Jack as our Safari guide. With every passing day of the Safari, we learnt so much of the African wildlife thanks to our very knowledgeable and expert Guide. Jack’s passion, expertise and instinct to track wildlife make him one of the best guides. In Botswana. Thanks to his “Bush Eyes”, we saw so many predators that would otherwise have been easily missed. Jack’s extensive passion in Birds and knowledge are contagious. We never expected to learn so much and see so many beautiful birds. He  is extremely professional, always enthusiastic and very patient as well. He is also a great photographer and because of that he knows exactly how to park to get the best pictures.  Every Safari drive with Jack was exciting, fun ( because of his sense of humor) and successful( multiple diverse animal and bird sightings). We look forward to exploring more of Jack’s beautiful backyard  with the man himself. Thank you for an unforgettable experience !

His ability to find them as he drives is outstanding. His hospitable nature, proffesional character and safe driving habit is a great asset. His ease of communication and with all of the above we had an excellent trip and would ecommend him and his services anytime.

Looking for a professional guide - with great knowledge, passion for nature and wildlife, dedicated, friendly, patient, with a good sense of humor you can learn a lot from and always feel safe? Jack (Mr Pumba) will be the right man. I met him in 2013 and 2014 at Modisa Wildlife Project in Kalahari, Botswana and enjoyed the activities he organized for us volunteers a lot. Game drives, bush walks, tracking, different work activities....  it never got boring in 8 weeks. It was great to share special interests like birding and photography. We became good friends and he will be my first choice as a guide for exploring more of Botswana's wilderness.

Jack, the greatest guide in all of Africa

Reviewed May 9, 2015

I met Jack at the Modisa Wildlife Project in Botswana where he was working as a guide for the volunteers. He took us to game drives and bush walks, and he thought us everything about the african wildlife. He is a really really kind person with a great attitude, and always in a good mood. He is easy to talk to, and he always have some funny or interesting facts to tell about animals. His skills when it comes to animal sounds and tracks are incredable, and so is his ability to spot animals when he is driving a car. We became good friends, and I was lucky enough to go with him on a 4 day trip to Moremi and Kwhai in the Okavango delta. We had a really good safari trip, and Jack knows the area really well. Nothing beats waking up early in the morning and see fresh leopard tracks on the road. We saw lots of animals like wild dogs, lions and hyenas, and we even had a hippo outside our tent one night! This part of the okavango holds some of the greatest wildlife in all of Africa. I will have to visit this area again sometime, but when I am, I`m definately going there with Jack!

I went to Botswana in May - June 2014 and had the opportunity to spend all the time there with Jack on game drives and bush walks. Jack is an amazing person and he knows everything about birds, trees and tracks. I have learned a lot from Jack and I am still thinking of/and using all the things I have learned here back in Denmark – I would say he is to be the number 1# guide/teacher in Botswana. Thank you for taking care of me and my friends, when visiting Botswana and for always being happy, smiling and for being such a compassionate and dedicated man, Jack (old man :-))
