Spend the day with Xavier, you wont regret it!

Reviewed August 15, 2016

Xavier taught me and my parents so much about Mexican and Guadalajaran history during our day tour. He's so knowledgeable, with excellent English and lots of cool stories and insider info. He was super patient with us as we had to take breaks to care for my infant, and we felt relaxed the whole time. In fact, we were so relaxed and kind of tired after walking downtown, so we decided to skip out on the second part of our tour which would have taken us to Tlaquepaque. It would have been nice to do that another day but we ran out of time.

A few tips:

- Xavier confirmed via email more than a month in advance and was responsive, reliable, and prompt

- Everything was included (parking, museum fees) except for the entrance fee to the Hospicio Cabanas.

- We had our stroller with us and was pleasantly surprised at the handicapped ramps around town.

- Try to think ahead about food and communicate with Xavier about where/what you want to eat. The hunger kind of hit us suddenly and we ended up eating in a cafe which was just "so-so" and wasn't nearly as delicious or memorable as the other food we had in GDL.

- Check the weather and bring your umbrella! and also consider that traffic can get pretty bad at certain times.

Enjoy your trip, and go with Xavier, you wont regret it!

Excellent Guide

Reviewed June 21, 2016

We used Xavier's services as a private guide for two days.  He was exceptionally accommodating to our desires, stopping where we wanted for as long as we wanted.  His commentary at the many attractions he showed us enhanced the trip enormously.  His transportation was very good also, dropping us off and picking us up as near as possible to the point of interest.  I highly recommend his services, especially if you want personal, customized guidance.

FANTASTIC TOUR TEQUILA AND GUACHIMONTONES

Reviewed April 7, 2016

We took with Xavier two tours:

1.- Huachimontones:

The transportation was good and comfortable.

The guide gave us a concise explanation of the village, its museum’s contents, and of the structures in the mountain.

The mountain’s museum’s video was pretty interesting and informative about the few things that are known from the people that lived at the place a long time ago.

The restaurant the guide took us was cheap and had tasteful food.

2.- Tequila:

The transportation was great, with only a slight delay because of the traffic in the city.

The guide took us to a variety of places near the town. From Tequila breweries to colonial chapels, we got the chance to see and understand the history of both the town and beverage.

The guide told us a lot of fun facts during the trip, and was very patient when we took our time to look at the beautiful architecture of old buildings.

Thank you Xavier, you are a wonderful guide. We are glad to take the tour with you instead of other that offer us (even at lower price).

The perfect introduction to Guadalajara

Reviewed April 6, 2016

We took Xavier's excellent tour on our first day in Guadalajara, and it proved to be the perfect introduction to a great city. Xavier is extremely knowledgable and enthusiastic about his city's history and buildings, and he conveys his love of it to his guests. Thoroughly recommended!
