Dries went above and beyond to give us an exceptional tour. I asked for something quite specific - to see the streets of blooming jacarandas. Dries went on a scouting mission the day before to see where the best blooms were. He shared extensive knowledge of trees, the area and history. He stayed with us until we were safely in our hotel and provided us with a thumb drive of photos he took. I highly recommend him

In June / July 2019, we had the wonderful experience of the Rovos Rail Shongololo Southern Cross trip.   

Dries was the guide, for which we are grateful.  Through Zimbabwe, Mozambique and the northern provinces of South Africa, he shared on history, culture, flora and fauna.  

Quick with identification of all birds,  he is a wealth of knowledge.

His quiet manner shone through, and constant reapect for all.

We saw his patience with less abled members of the larger group, duirng the climb to Greater Zimbabwe ruins.

Dries is a fantastic guide. He created a day trip for us that was tailored particularly to our needs and we enjoyed every minute of it. His ability to keep a family group that included Grandparents and young children interested and enthused throughout the trip was amazing. We hope to be able to take another trip with him next time we visit South Africa. 

In January 2004 I travelled to South Africa on Business for almost a month. As a group of work colleagues, we ended up taking one of the weekends I was there and spending it with Dries. A group of my colleagues and I hired him, after several of us had the great misfortune of being robbed by what we were told most likely were Somali thugs while walking to our Hotel several nights earlier. Dries gave us a solid rundown of what parts of town were good and bad, and advised us on several other travel issues conerning our safety in South Africa. He then led us on a 1 day guided tour of Pilanesburg and Sun City. I've never had a more relaxing time, where I was able to set the worries and stress of the previous week aside and just simply be with where I was at. Dries made that possible by his easy laid back demeanor, friendly open attitude, and vast wealth of knowledge on nature, pointing out almost every local bird speciec there was and several other animal sightings we had thanks to his knowledge of the area and keen eye. He also took us afterward for some adult fun at Sun City where we played a few card games, mostly slots though, and guided us around to the various attractions and fun things to do. Dries made what would have been a boring business trip into an epic adventure, one I will remember the rest of my life.

Last summer, we went on a trip in South-Africa, from Cape Town all the way to Johannesburg. Due to our guide Dries, this holiday has been my best holiday so far. You could ask him everything and he knew the answer. From all kind of birds to buildings in different cities, it seemed as if there was nothing that Dries didn't know. All his knowledge and enthusiasm made it a beautiful experience and through this review, I would like to thank Dries once again for the amazing trip!
