We were lucky to choose Soe Soe for a week long tour of Bagan and Mandalay.  I asked him to show us both the famous and less visited places and he delivered!  We visited Salay and climbed the 777 steps to mount Popa one day which was a refreshing change from the more touristy spots in Bagan.  

Soe Soe also navigated us through Bagan with information on each site.  

He also did a great job with the Mandalay part of our visit.  I was worried about being in a large city, but we had a wonderful time.  

Soe Soe was also good at adapting our itinerary to our energy level.

Soe Soe and Tune Tune were fantastic tour guides for our trip to Mandalay. The places/ experiences they picked for our visit were exactly what we wanted to see, and they were incredibly kind and friendly (purchasine snacks, or singing backstreet boys with us).

I am the type of traveler who typically avoids any tours or guides as I like to explore on my own. I made an exception for Myanmar and I am glad that I did, the trip would not have been the same without Soe Soes support. Myanmar is inheriently difficult for a foreigner (and especially a westerner) to get around so having a guide is important. But Soe Soe is not your typical guide who just shows you some sites and collects his payment, he really becomes part of your trip as a companion and friend. We spent 1.5 days with him in Mandalay and we enjoyed every minute of it. 

My only regret is that I did not have SoeSoe go with us to our other Myanmar destinations. We had guides there who were satsifactory but not memorable. I'd highly recommend SoeSoe for your time in Myanmar. He will make a great travel experience much better.

From Denmark we had planned a three day trip to among other Godteik viaduct. We found Soe Soe on the inter net, and after writing back and forth, we agreed on how the trip was going to be. It has been the best guide we've ever had, everything worked, and the helpfulness and openness, we will never forget. We can only recommend Soe Soe, and hope the best to him and family.
