Susan's gentle nature combined with a sense of humour and a lovely warm smile made my two days out and about in Kathmandu with her very rewarding and enjoyable. Susan made me feel at home in a place as comparatively chaotic and initially overwhelming as Kathmandu. She was highly adaptible to my schedule, which started as a 1 day tour and then a half day that turned into a half day followed by a full day tour, and was a font of knowledge, taking me to fantastic places while knowing much about them.

My wife and I don’t like organized tours at all. We like to explore new places on our own. But we only had 3 days in Nepal and wanted to make the most of it, so we reluctantly looked up a guide and found great reviews on Susan. Hiring Susan as our private tour guide was the best decision we made. She was simply incredible. It was like touring around with a good local friend who is very knowledgeable, rather than a guide. Susan took us to all the places we wanted to visit, and many other places we couldn’t dream to see, especially in such a short time. She was so good that we referred a few friends to her, and everyone was extremely happy. In short, Susan (and her husband who was the driver) was amazing. We can’t recommend her enough!

Susan led me on a spectacular two day tour of Kathmandu. She is the best. First, she listened to what I was looking for out of the two days and constructed a specific itenerary to meet those objectives. I was in town for business and did not have time for a trip outside Kathmandu Valley but she arranged a drive and a two hour hike to at least give me an outdoor feel for life in the valley away from the city. Second, her tours of the many religious sites that we explored were extremely thoughtful. They blended a rich historical account of each site with some insight about modern religious practicies. I learned a tremendous amount. Third, she was engaging in using some of our driving time between classic sites in Kathmandu to discuss modern life and politics in the city and country. It was a genuine and informative conversation which I found fascinating. She has my strongest recommendation!
