Visiting Mardin and its surrounding region was a profound experience. This part of Turkey sits in the heart of ancient Upper Mesopotamia, the literal cradle of civilization. It is a foundational pillar of human history, with the roots of our shared faith running incredibly deep. Our itinerary was a breathtaking journey through time, showcasing the coexistence of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism in this historic Mesopotamian landscape. As a Catholic, standing in the ancient halls of the Deyrulzafaran Monastery and the Mor Gabriel Monastery was deeply moving. These sacred sites breathe centuries of uninterrupted Christian devotion. We also explored the stunning Dara Ruins and visited the majestic Kasımiye Madrasah. Walking through the madrasah, it was mind-blowing to learn about the genius of Ismail al-Jazari, the brilliant 12th-century Muslim polymath celebrated as the "father of robotics". Beyond the history, our senses were treated to the local culture. A particular highlight was enjoying an absolutely delicious lunch right beside a peaceful, flowing river. None of this would have been the same without our exceptional guide, Sabri. He was incredibly kind, courteous, and diligent throughout the entire journey. Sabri's passion for Mesopotamia's history, combined with his attentive and professional nature, made our trip seamless and deeply meaningful. If you are planning a trip to this historic region, I cannot recommend Sabri highly enough.

I had the pleasure to meet Mr Sabri Sahin in Mardin, the first unexpected however pleasant surprise was a call from Sabri to introduce himself and to find out what my interests and requirements were, his willingness to assist was very much appreciated. Prior to my arrival in Mardin he contacted me to confirm all the details of the tour and to find out if I had any further requests. He was very punctual and polite, very knowledgeable and professional with a friendly disposition. He will go to any length to exceed his guests expectations. I would not hesitate to recomend him to look after the visitors to beautiful Mardin and surrouns.

Had a great city tour with Sabri yesterday. He was informative of the history and cultural aspects of Diyarbakir.. it was a very hot day, and we ended our tour sipping tea overlooking the Ten Arch bridge ending a great afternoon!

I primarily went to Sanliurfa to see the groundbreaking archaeological excavations at Göbeklitepe and Karahantepe outside of Sanliurfa. Additionally, Sanliurfa and its surroundings have a lot more to offer. For this purpose, I hired Sabri as a local guide. Sabri was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to my wishes, and he spoke good English. He drove calmly and well, and the car was comfortable. He also took me to restaurants with typical food from the region and arranged for a comfortable and safe transfer to and from the airport outside Sanliurfa. I can truly highly recommend Sabri as a guide.

My wife and I visited southeastern Türkiye in late April - early May, 2025. Sabri Şahin was our guide for 5 days from Diyarbakır to Midyat, Mardin, Şanlıurfa, and Gaziantep. He was an outstanding guide, familiar with the history of every place we visited. He also improvised on our tour, based on our interests, for example, taking us to the Dengbêj Evi in Diyarbakır. He seems to know everybody between Diyarbakır and Gaziantep, and every meal was an adventure. Our tour experience far exceeded expectations. We will remember Sabri and the places we visited for a long time.
