Visit the Kunjapuri Temple at sunrise for panoramic views of the Himalayas. Kunjapuri temple is one of the must-visit places of Tehri district, not just because of its story related to gods and goddesses but also for the panoramic view of Garhwal Himalayan peaks like Swarga Rohini, Gangotri, Banderpunch and Chaukhamba to the north and Rishikesh, Haridwar and Doon Valley to the south.

You will be picked up from Rishikesh around 5 am and taken to the Kunjapuri Temple by car. The trip takes about an hour.
Once you reach the temple, climb 300 steps to the inside. Wait here for sunrise and see how the sun lights up the Himalayas in a beautiful glow, eventually shining on the town of Rishikesh and the Ganga River.
After the sunrise, start your trek downhill. The total trek is about 5 miles, so bring comfortable shoes. Along the way, you'll pass mountains, villages, farms, as well as the Neer Gaddu waterfall. Here, you can bathe if you wish.
At the end of the trek, you will be dropped back in Rishikesh.
