Know before you go
  • Amritsar City, northern Punjab state, northwestern India. It lies about 15 miles (25 km) east of the border with Pakistan. Amritsar is the largest and most important city in Punjab and is a major commercial, cultural, and transportation centre. It is the centre of Sikhism and the site of the Sikhs' principal place of worship, the Harmandir Sahib, or Golden Temple.
  • Please note:
    • The best time to visit Amritsar is from November to March; after this, the temperature rises gradually. Besides, this is also the coldest place in winter in the entire Punjab. So, adequate warm clothing should be carried while visiting.
    • Villages surround Amritsar. People are good and helping. It's a peaceful town and a foodie's paradise too.
    • We will be pleased to help you in planning your itinerary based on your interests and the intended duration of your stay.
