    • Labuan Cermin is named so because of its crystal clear waters that allow one to see the lake's bottom. Cermin is the local word for Mirror.

    • The lake has a layer of salt water that makes sunlight bounce off while freshwater flows underneath. These two types of water create a separation layer that results in clear views of the lake's bottom. Quite often, people call this lake Labuan Mirror or 'Lake Two Flavors’.
