Sign up for this tour and explore Danau Masoraian, a community forest located in Central Kalimantan. Check into Astana Al - Nursari, visit Kyai Gede mosque, the oldest mosque in Central Kalimantan and get welcomed with an ancient ritual Tampung Tawar by a shaman. Ride a boat around the forest, spot some wildlife and learn some traditional methods of fishing.

Day 1: Pangkalan Bun – Kotawaringin Lama – Astana Al - Nursari expand_more
- Get picked up at the meeting point in Pangkalan Bun and forage traditional street food in Pangkalan Bun for lunch.
- Drive to Kotawaringin Lama by car for approximately 1,5 hours with several stops to enjoy the scenery.
- Check into Astana al Nursery and have a house tour with a local guide.
- Visit Kyai Gede mosque, the oldest mosque in Central Kalimantan and enjoy sightseeing into the village.
- After dinner, the shaman will lead an old ritual Tampung Tawar, continuing with traditional martial arts and Malay-Dayak music performances.
- Stay overnight with basic accommodation in Astana Al - Nursari. Meals Provided, L&D

Day 2: Astana Al Nursari – Danau Masoraian – Pangkalan Bun expand_more
- After breakfast, you will have a short walk to see the farmers making brown sugar.
- A small boat will bring you to explore Danau Masoraian, the lowland peat forest. It takes approximately 6 hours to see Danau Masoraian and wildlife spotting.
- You also may see some local people fishing with traditional methods and also how they preserve fish. Lunch will be provided in the Lanting – a small floating fisherman camp.
- Afternoon, drive back to Pangkalan Bun.

- Dress appropriately, any casual which covers from shoulder to knees.
- Personal, intimate activities such as kissing are taboo for locals
- Locals may offer you to drink or eat. If you don’t like to drink or eat, please take the glass/food, lift it, give it back, and touch your cheeks for respect (also called pose-pose).
- To enjoy the journey and wildlife experiences responsibly, keep your tour guide if you find they don’t follow the rule.
- To avoid any culture shock, please be tolerant of eastern customs, including dressing, male-female interaction, and drinking alcohol.
