Arrive in Samboja Lodge and receive a short brief, then set off for Orangutan island, where you can see the orangutans from the riverside while your Balikpapan tour guide will be feeding the orangutans. You can't touch the orangutans, but you see them and take pictures from the riverside.

From Orangutans Island, continue to the Sun Bear Sanctuary, and you can see how the animals' lives are being saved and released in the forest. Here too, you can't touch the sun bear.

Drive to the office and then go up to the tower to see views surrounding the BOS Foundation area project.

 Return to the lodge, take some rest and then have lunch. 

After having lunchtime, drive to Bukit Bangkirai and go on a short jungle trek into the rain forest about 400-600 meters from the reception area to the Canopy bridge. The tourist will see many high and huge trees.

Get back to Bukit Bangkirai and drive to the Mangrove Center, which takes more or less one hour. 

After arriving at the Mangrove Center, go inside the mangrove forest using a small ship/boat (Klotok) where you can see Bekantan quite closely and, if lucky, can also spot the Irrawady Dolphins/ Mahakam River Dolphins (Orcaella brevirostris).

After taking a river trip, go back to the tourist hotel.
