Shuttle away to Mount Ijen on this 2-day trip. The Ijen crater has the biggest acid lake in the world. The place is a sulphur mine and is profuse with amazing landscapes waiting to inspire you and leave you wanting for more.

    • Be escorted from the Juanda International Airport along with your Java tour guide. 

    • Travel to Mount Ijen Area.

    • Check in to Ijen View Hotel Bondowoso.

  • Day 2: Trek to Ijen Peak expand_more

    • Proceed for your trip around 23.30 pm and travel to the Paltuding area. 

    • Have breakfast (packet food) in the car. 

    • Reach Paltuding at approximately 2 am, this is the permit post before hiking to Ijen peak. 

    • See the famous Blue Flame Sulphur of Ijen once you are at the peak.

    • Walk down to the rim of Ijen Lake, at the break of dawn, if weather permits and it is safe to do so by the authorities. You can enjoy the morning lake view of Ijen and walk back to the Ijen peak before going back to Paltuding. 

    • Proceed to the car and drop of you at Surabaya International Airport or Banyuwangi Katapang port.

Know before you go
  • Altitude temperatures at the top of the volcanoes (2,300 m) can range from +2 to +25 degrees. We therefore highly recommend that you come adequately equipped.

  • The Blue flames are dependent on the moonlight and rain. Thus, if the weather is good, you will be able to see the Blue Flames. We cannot guarantee 100% that it will be available due to weather but we can guarantee that we bring you to the viewpoint.  

  • Pick up can also be arranged from places around East Java such as Malang, Probolinggo, Bondowoso, and Banyuwangi. 

  • Minimum 2 participants required for the trip to commence.
