After meeting at a predecided place and time, depart from Zagreb in the morning.
On the way to Plitvice Lakes, the first stop is the open-air Homeland War Museum.
Next, stop for about half an hour in Rastoke village for a wake-up coffee and sightseeing. It is a small ‘sleepy’ watermill village with interesting rural architecture.
After this, visit Plitvice Lakes National Park, a natural reserve known for 16 terraced lakes connected by waterfalls.
Enter the National Park, and choose the hours to walk (2.5 – 4 hours).
During the time in the national park, use bus and boat to explore.
Pass through the dense forests of beech, fire, and pines, a pure experience of forest bathing. Lakes in the park are home to bears, wolves, and various species of birds.
