Description

Sign-up for this half-day tour and travel to the old town on the Adriatic Coast of Croatia. Pass by the old villages of Zupa Dubrovacka to Cilipi Village and explore the largest valley in this region. Marvel at the traditional smokehouses, water mills and a medieval fortress. Explore Cavtat, an exceedingly pretty town, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Top this off by having local drinks and refreshments with picturesque views and the beautiful river streams. Take a stroll in the Dubrovnic Old Town before heading back to your accommodation.

    • Meet your local Dubrovnik guide and drive towards the southeast overlooking the Old Town. 

    • Along the coast, pass by villages of Župa Dubrovačka until you reach Čilipi Village. Severely devastated during the war in the '90s, now it has been reconstructed and is back to life. Take a quick stroll through the village and learn about the area's history and local life. Through the lower part of the valley, see a traditional way of building dwellings with old chimneys used as smokehouses and the scenic view of the valley.

    • Continue through the valley until you reach a middle-aged fortress located in a nearby village. It looks magnificent, and it has been a border and important stronghold during the 15th-16th centuries. Get a stunning view of the valley from the other side of the fortress. Look for the nearby beautiful river stream and old mills. 

    • Drive down from the valley and reach the small town of Cavtat, known for its beaches and the many ancient Illyrian necropolises dotted around the area. Tour through the town and have lunch on a beautiful promenade (lunch not included).
