    • Pick up from Dar es Salaam in a 4x4 vehicle to Selous Game Reserve. It will be approximately a 4-hour drive.

    • Enjoy a late lunch at Rufiji River Camp.

    • Embark on an afternoon boat tour with your Tanzanian safari guide.

    Later in the evening, drive to Mbega Tented Campsite for an overnight stay.

  • Day 2: Full Day at Selous expand_more

    • Accompany an armed ranger on a walking safari in the reserve. The sights and sounds (and smells) of a walking safari are a special treat that lives long in your memory. The thrill of creeping up to animals to “shoot” them with the camera is a great experience. 

    • Get back to the camp at 9 am for breakfast.

    • Depart for a game drive. You will participate in some classic style game drives. Explore the bush in open 4x4 vehicles. Waterbuck, southern reedbucks and bushbucks are common in Selous. Rare sable antelopes, lions and greater kudus are also frequent in this area. 

    Drive to Selous Mbega Tented Campsite for overnight stay.

    Meal Plan: Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch.

  • Day 3: Full Day at Selous expand_more

    • Enjoy breakfast in the morning.

    • Come across reedbucks and bushbucks, rare sable antelopes, lions and greater kudus on a game drive with your Tanzanian safari guide. 

    Have an overnight stay at Selous Kinga Lodge.

    Meal Plan: Dinner, breakfast & lunch.

  • Day 4: Selous to Dar es Salaam expand_more

    • Enjoy an early coffee at 5:30 am.

    • Depart to Dar es Salaam at 6 am.

    • Get dropped off in the city.

  • Day Trip to Saadani National Park from Dar es Salaam:
    • Pick up from your hotel and start driving to Saadani National Park.
    • This tour will take you to this truly unique park, which is also a protected area. 
    • This park is ideal for a game drive and beach tour.
    • You will come across giraffes, warthogs, buffalos, elephants, wildebeests, hartebeests, elands, sable and other animals.
    • Later in the evening, drive back to Dar es Salaam.
  • This safari can be provided on special requests for an extension of your tour.
