    • Explore the scenic beauty of Lake Taupō waterfront by stretching your legs along one of many lakesides walking trails.  Take a step away and enjoy the complete peace and quiet of water's edge picnic spots and elevated viewing areas.
    • Next, head to Silica terrace Walkway, which provides a unique window into the thermal wonderland that once existed at Wairakei. Intricate carvings posted throughout the walk depict Maori history and the man-made geyser and terraces are the crowning glory in this mystical tribute to the original geysers and terraces.
    • Then, continue the journey from Taupo to Napier.
    • On the way, witness fantastic sceneries with rugged hills, beautiful valleys, gentle plains and huge vistas.
    • Stop at the Waipunga Falls lookout to view the twin waterfalls.
    • Once in the Hawke’s Bay you will discover a fertile wine-growing region that boasts one of the world’s best collections of Art Deco architecture.
    • Overnight stay in Napier.
  • Day 2- Napier City Sightseeing expand_more
    • Your day starts with a visit to Cape Kidnapper- the world’s largest and most accessible mainland gannet colony. Ride in style and comfort over picturesque Cape Kidnappers Station in air-conditioned 4 x 4 vehicles – traversing riverbeds, broad rolling pastures, through stands of native bush, steep gullies and breathtaking views.
    • Take a halt at a spectacular cliff top with panoramic views of Hawke Bay right across to the Mahia Peninsula. Have a coffee or tea at the colony.
    • Next, experience Napier’s Art Deco heritage. Visit the world-famous sights, suburbs, buildings and landmarks of our town.
    • Take a walk back in time with a guided walking tour who will tell you stories of the earthquake that destroyed the city and the remarkable recovery and rebuild completed in less than two years.
