Description

Chobe National Park is in northern Botswana near the vast, inland Okavango Delta. It's known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which converge along the Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. Lions, antelopes, and hippos inhabit the woods and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. The floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras. Experience the amazing fauna and flora that Africa has to offer at this world-renowned National Park where you will not only experience a fun game drive but also a boat cruise expedition to see various animal species that reside in the park.

    • 07:00 - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in a closed bus, and proceed on a 70km journey through the countryside to the Kazungula border.

    • 08:00 - Arrival at the Kazungula Border, where guests will exit Zimbabwe/Zambia and enter Botswana. At the border, guests will change vehicles and meet their Botswana tour guide.

    • 08:30 - Once guests have gone through Botswana immigration, they will take a short drive to Chobe Marina Lodge.

    • 08:45-09:00 - Arrival at the hotel, where guests will have a short bathroom break and will also be required to fill out the Park Entry form.

    • 09:30 - Guests will depart on their activity: either game drive or boat cruise- guests will specify which activity they prefer.

    • 12:30 - Return to the hotel for an a la carte or buffet-style lunch with a variety of traditional and modern meals to choose from.

    • 13:30 - Guests will depart for an afternoon activity - either boat cruise or game drive.

    • 16:30 - Short bathroom stop and transfer to the border at Kazungula and finally return to Zimbabwe border (visa purchase for those with a single-entry visa to Zimbabwe.)

    • Maximum: 9 per vehicle

  • Age restrictions: There is no age limit on these activities, however, at management's discretion children may be required to travel in a double harness with an adult. Parents or guardians of any child under 16 must be present and available to sign an indemnity on the child’s behalf. Management retains the right to turn a child away at their own discretion should they feel the child is not able to cope with the experience in any way. There is no maximum age limit.

  • Tourism levies US$30 in cash upon entrance to Botswana.

  • Guests without a valid double entry Visa for Zimbabwe will be required to purchase a Visa upon returning to Zimbabwe.
