Embark on a 12-day tour to experience the wilderness and culture of South Africa. The tour starts from Durban and moves to Zululand, covering the Kingdom of Eswatini, before arriving at Kruger National Park and heading straight to Johannesburg, where it ends. Explore the magnificent beaches, traditional villages, amazing cities, and captivating wildlife parks of the country that will leave you with a mesmerizing experience of nature.

  • Day 1: King Shaka International Airport- Durban expand_more
    • Arrive at King Shaka International Airport, meet with your tour guide and drive to the hotel.
    • Travel to the city after dropping off the luggage at the hotel. 
    • Begin the city tour led by a local guide and visit the Victoria Market, the KwaMuhle Museum and the Moses Mabhida stadium to take a lift to the top for a unique view of the city.
    • Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. 
  • Day 2: Durban expand_more
    • Have breakfast in the hotel, then go for a swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
    • Spend the day at your leisure.
  • Day 3: Durban- Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park expand_more
    • Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Hluhluwe Game Reserve, Africa's oldest proclaimed nature reserve. It is the only park with the highest white rhino population in the world. 
    • Go for a short sunset safari on arrival.
    • Travel to a lodge in the National Park for dinner and overnight stay. 
  • Day 4: Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park expand_more
    • Wake up early in the morning, enjoy the sunrise and go for a Game drive at 6.00 am. 
    • Spot the Big Five along with other wild animals, including the Nile crocodile, hippo, cheetah, spotted hyena, blue wildebeest, jackal, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, nyala, eland, kudu, impala, duiker, suni, reedbuck, common warthog, bushpig, mongoose, baboons, monkeys, a variety of tortoises, terrapins, snakes and lizards.
    • Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 
  • Day 5: Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park- Lake Jozini expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then drive out of the park heading to Nompondo village for a short educational and cultural walk. 
    • Spend an hour in one of the homes to experience how Zulu people live, and learn more about their culture. 
    • Visit a local school for another short, guided tour before heading to Jozini. 
    • Arrive at Jozini and spend the night in a hotel.
  • Day 6: Lake Jozini expand_more
    • Have breakfast at the hotel, then have a free morning for optional activities such as hiking, birdwatching, kayaking, abseiling or Game viewing in Mkhuze Game Reserve.
    • Arrive at the hotel in Jozini for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 7: Lake Jozini- Eswatini expand_more
    • Have early morning breakfast, then travel to Eswatini, a country located within South Africa and Mozambique. We stamp out of South Africa and drive to the Kingdom of Eswatini. 
    • Travel through the small villages of the Eswatini towards Ezulwini Valley/ Mlilwane Nature Reserve.
    • Stop at the local candle factory to shop for handcrafted souvenirs before checking in to the lodge in Mlilwane Nature Reserve.
    • Set up a bonfire in the evening and have dinner by the fire.

  • Day 8: Eswatini- Kruger National Park expand_more
    • Wake up early and depart for Kruger National Park in South Africa from Eswatini.
    • Halt at one of the biggest local craft markets before driving back to South Africa.
    • Arrive at the southern part of Kruger National Park and go for a sunset Game drive to spot the Big Five. 
    • Travel to a lodge in the National Park for dinner and overnight stay. 
  • Day 9: Kruger National Park expand_more
    • Wake up early in the morning and go for a full day Game drive.
    • Travel back to the lodge in the evening for dinner at overnight stay.
  • Day 10: Kruger National Park- Blyde River Canyon expand_more
    • Have an early breakfast, then go for a short game drive towards the exit of the National Park and, from there, head to the highveld region and into the Blyde River Canyon. The third-largest canyon in the world offers spectacular views of the landscape with its famous Three Rondavels.
    • Stop at Hazyview for some quick local shopping.
    • Travel to a lodge in Blyde River Canyon for dinner and an overnight stay.
  • Day 11: Blyde River Canyon expand_more
    • Wake up early and visit the canyon, God’s Window, Mac Mac Falls and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. 
    • Travel back to the lodge, which is right at the edge of the escarpment near Graskop town.

  • Day 12: Blyde River Canyon- Johannesburg expand_more
    • Depart from Blyde River Canyon after enjoying the sunrise and breakfast. 
    • Head to Johannesburg via the famous panorama route with beautiful scenic views. 
    • Arrive at Johannesburg at 16.00 and transfer to the airport.

  • Our 12 days Beach, Bush & Culture tour departs from Durban every Saturday morning at 7.00 (The hotel will be confirmed once the booking is made). 
  • Once you booked the tour and confirmed, we will send you full details about the departure point and how to get there. 
  • The minimum number of travellers is 4, and the maximum is 10. The tour includes a local payment of ZAR 1500 per person, payable on the day of departure.
