Day 1 - Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups Museum & Village Visit expand_more
7:30/ 8:00- Meet and get picked by your Cao Bang tour guide at an agreed-upon location. Drive on highway No 3.
Visit the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups in Thai Nguyen City, where you can browse the objects, photographs and exhibits that give a better understanding of the various ethnic groups.
Enjoy a delicious lunch before you head extremely north to Cao Bang through scattered villages and rice paddies.
Stop at a village known for its tobacco production, depending on the growing season.
Have dinner and stay overnight in the homestay of a Nung's family in Quang Uyen.

Day 2 - Visit Nguom Ngao Cave & Be Be Lake expand_more
Depart to Cao Bang post-breakfast, which lies on the border of China.
Meet the Nung people in the village of Phuoc Sen, a mountainous village famous for its traditional blacksmith craft.
See the gorgeous Ban Gioc Waterfall which spans over 300 meters, half in Vietnam and half in China.
Soak up the powerful atmosphere of the falls before heading to Nguom Ngao Cave. This cave stretches out 2,144 meters underground and is brimming with incredible stalactites and stalagmites.
Return to Cao Bang town to go down on a snake pass to Ba Be Lake and take in the hospitality of a Tay ethnic family, where you can relax and enjoy a meal of home-cooked local food.

Day 3 - Puong Grotto Caves Visit & Departure expand_more
Embark on a boat and head to see distinctive wildlife or swim in the water followed by enjoying the scenery of karsts surrounding with patches of wild vegetation.
Proceed on a boat ride along the Nang River to explore the stunning Ba Be Lake and the caves of Puong Grotto.
Return to Hanoi, a drive of approximately 150 miles (230 kilometres).
