  • Day 1: Arrival at Tashkent by International flight expand_more
    • After Immigration and customs clearance, meet your guide/driver outside of the terminal with the sign board and transfer to the hotel for check-in.
  • Day 2: City Tour of Tashkent expand_more
    • Breakfast at the hotel. Have a morning free at leisure after the night flight. At 11:00, meet your guide and driver for the city tour of Tashkent – the Capital of Uzbekistan, the cosmopolitan city in the heart of The Central Asia Continent, known as the center of The Silk Road culture.
    • Visit the Khazrat Imam Complex consisting of Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum, Barak Khan Madrasah, Tillya Sheik Mosque, and Museum of Islamic Books with the 7th-century Koran of Caliph Othman.
    • Stroll around the oldest market of the city, Chorsu Bazaar, and visit Djuma Mosque and Kukeldash Madrasah from the outside.
    • Explore Tashkent Metro, taking a ride to a few stations.
    • Visit the Independence Square, Duke Romanov Mansion, Amir Temur Square, and Monument of Courage.
    • Return to hotel, time to rest before dinner. Overnight in Tashkent.  
  • Day 3: Tour of Urgench and Departure to Khiva expand_more
    • Check out from the hotel with a packed takeaway breakfast from the hotel.
    • 05:15-05:45: Transfer to domestic airport for flight HY to Urgench 07:15-08:45.
    • 09:00-10:00: Arrival at Urgench, depart to visit the remains of the Antique Civilization in Ellik Kala district, 65km 1hr.
    • Arrival and visit the Toprak Kala, Kizil Kala, and Ayaz Kala Fort remains.  
    • 12:00: Take your lunch at Nomadic Yurt Camp.
    • 13:30-15:30: Continue to Khiva, an ancient capital of Khorezm (Khwarazma “The Land of the Sun”), 100km 2hrs. 
    • Upon arrival in Khiva, check in to the hotel and time to rest. Dinner with Folk Performance. Overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 4: Itchan-Kala Complex expand_more
    • Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed on a guided walking tour to the splendid historical UNESCO site – Itchan-Kala Complex.
    • Learn about Muhammad Aminkhan Madrasah and Kalta Minar, Kunya Ark Citadel, Muhammad Rahimkhan Madrasah, the Mausoleum of local Saint Pakhlavan Makhmud, and Shergazi Khan Madrasah.
    • Explore the Djuma Mosque, Minaret and Madrasah of Islam Khodja, Allakuli Khan Madrasah and Caravan Saray, Tash Khauli Palace and Harem, City Walls and Gates.
    • Enjoy your free time taking a walk through the old streets, visiting craftsmen, and observing local houses. Dinner at a local café. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 5: Depart to Bukhara expand_more
    • Breakfast and check out from the hotel.
    • Start the journey to Bukhara through the Kyzyl-Kum desert, the second largest desert in Central Asia after Kara-Kum, 450km 7-8hrs. En route, enjoy a panoramic view over The Amu-Darya River.
    • Stop in the local chaykhana – a roadside café for lunch/tea break.
    • Late afternoon arrival to Bukhara, transfer for check-in to the hotel. Evening walk in the old city before dinner. 

    Dinner at a local restaurant/cafe. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 6: Guided tour in Bukhara expand_more
    • Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour in Bukhara, the old center of culture and education. Explore one of the gems of architecture, the center of Mediaeval Education.
    • Visit the Ark Citadel, the palace of rulers, and Bolo-Khauz Mosque, with beautiful ayvan and columns.
    • Admire the Kalon Complex with Minaret, Mosque, Mir-Arab Madrasah, Madrasah of Ulugbek and Abdulaziz Khan.
    • Visit the Magoki-Attor mosque, Trade domes, Telpak Furushon, Zargaron and Abdullakhan.
    • Lyabi-Khauz complex with Nadir-Divan Begi Madrasah and Khanaka, Kukaldosh Madrasah, and Chor Minor Madrasah
    • Folklore Performance at Madrasah. Dinner at a local café/restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 7: Crafts Center of Davron Toshev expand_more
    • Breakfast at the hotel. Today, you are going to visit sights around Bukhara.
    • Visit the Samanid Mausoleum and Mausoleum of Chashma-Ayub, Summer Palace of the last Emir of Bukhara – Sitorai Mokhi Khosa, Bahautdin Nakshband Complex, dedicated to the Patron of Bukhara.
    • Visit Crafts Center of Davron Toshev, here you will learn about the traditional Miniature and Calligraphy. Lunch with Culinary Master Class at Crafts Center.
    • Afternoon returning to Bukhara, free time at old city markets. Dinner and overnight in Bukhara.
  • Day 8: Depart to Samarkand expand_more
    • Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Samarkand, the Capital of Tamerlane’s Empire, 280km 4-5hrs.
    • The first stop will be in Gizhduvan, famous for its traditional Ceramics. Continue to Samarkand, arrive, and check in to the hotel.
    • Tour of the capital of the Great Empire of Tamerlane, a city praised by Medieval poets and historians. Visit the Gur-Emir mausoleum, the family vault of the Timurids, Registan Square consisting of Ulugbek, Sherdor, and Tillya Kari Madrasah.
    • Return to hotel, time to freshen up. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Samarkand.
  • Day 9: Samarkand to Shakhrisabz to Samarkand expand_more
    • Breakfast at the hotel. 08:00: Depart to Shakhrisabz on sedan/van, the birthplace of Tamerlane, 100km 2hrs. The road goes through the Mountains, the picturesque valley and mountains of Takhtakharacha Pass, Part of The Pamir Mountains. Stop at the top of the pass for a view and photos.
    • Arrival and proceed to the tour visiting the magnificent architectural monuments of The Timurids, including the Entry Pylons of Remains of Ak-Saray palace of Tamerlane, Dorus Saodat complex, Mausoleum of Djehangir and Khazrat Imam Mosque.
    • Visit the Dorut Tilovat complex: Kok Gumbaz Mosque and Mausoleum of Sheikh Shamsiddin Kulal; Mausoleum Gumbazi Saidon.
    • Lunch at a local restaurant. Depart back to Samarkand. You will have free time before dinner.
    • Evening visit to the El-Merosi Theatre for Revived Costumes of Old Nations and dinner at a local restaurant.
    • Evening visit to the monuments with illumination. Overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 10: Samarkand City Tour expand_more
    • Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel and continue on a guided tour in Samarkand – known as “Rome of the East”:
    • Visit the Shakhi Zinda Complex, known for its beautiful mosaic, majolica and terracotta decorations.
    • Explore the Museum of Ulugbek observatory with the original instrument sextant.
    • Attend the Silk Paper Workshop with 9th-century technology and Oil Mills, along with Ceramics Workshops.
    • Visit the Afrosiab Archeology Museum, Hazrat Khizr Mosque, and Grandeur Bibi-Khanum Mosque.
    • Stroll around the colourful market of Siyab Bazaar.
    • Transfer to Railway Station for High-Speed Train to Tashkent as per timetable. Arrival and Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Tashkent.
  • Day 11: Departure expand_more
    • Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the return flight. End of tour.

What to bring

DOCUMENTATION:

  • Passport should be valid for at least six months and visa required.

CLIMATE (*):

  • The climate is extremely continental, cold winters and very hot summers, ranging from -10º C in January to 42° C in summer. The summers are dry and hot.

RECOMMENDED CLOTHING:

  • During the summer, light clothing, shirts, cotton suits, hat, comfortable shoes, etc. The high summer temperatures make it very advisable to carry a good sunscreen.

TIPS:

  • Tipping is a widespread custom to both drivers and guides as waiters.

  • Tour Operator reserves the right to modify itineraries and/or substitute hotels of a reasonably similar quality, when available, should circumstances beyond our control deem it necessary.
  • Domestic flights / Trains are booked as per availability; in case a flight/train is cancelled or no tickets are available at the time of booking, the itinerary will be modified as per the timetable.  
  • In case of any currency fluctuations, amendment in local government taxes, or any fuel hike, we reserve the right to adjust the tour price accordingly.
  • Prices are subject to change in case of a change of the price policy of the country of the contractor that may result in a change in the unit cost rates from the dollar to another currency (euro, sum, etc.)
  • Deposits made for payment will be changed when there are currency fluctuations to occur. Full payment is due as per the final invoice.
  • Meals such as Lunches and Dinners are provided at local café and restaurants;  
  • Hotel check-in time is 14.00, and Check-out time is 11.00. Important – no early arrivals and late departures are included;
