Spend 6 days in Uganda's wilderness where you can track the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi. Drive towards the Uganda-Rwanda border to track the golden monkeys among other primates at the Volcano National Park in Rwanda. The volcanic views and rare sightings make it the complete adventure you'd expect in a jungle safari.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport expand_more
- You will be picked up by your local tour guide from Entebbe International Airport and transferred to your hotel.
Stay the night at Cassia Lodge (BB).

Day 2: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park expand_more
- In the morning, leave for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the largest population of endangered mountain gorillas. With an abundant collection of flora and fauna, Bwindi is now an ecological island and is surrounded by cultivation on rich volcanic soils.
Stay the night at Nkuringo Gorilla Camp (FB).

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking expand_more
- After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority before setting off to the forest to see the mountain gorillas. The ranger guides will take you through the forest tracking gorillas, which can take from half an hour to five hours. Observe the behaviour of these elusive creatures while walking through the forest. A reasonable degree of fitness is required along with a sturdy pair of walking shoes.
- If you have the afternoon free, you can go for a guided village walk to see how the Ugandans live.

Day 4: Drive to Kisoro expand_more
- Drive to Kisoro and cross the Uganda- Rwanda border to Ruhengeri in Rwanda. Ruhengeri is a city in northern Rwanda's Musanze district and serves as the base for gorilla tracking.
- In the evening, you can stroll around the lodge and take in the panoramic sunset over the volcanoes.
Stay the night at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.

Day 5: Volcano National Park expand_more
- Visit the gorilla sanctuary of Parc National des Volcans early in the morning. Trekking here is a demanding but rewarding experience as you can spot the golden monkeys. The time spent in the forest depends on the location of the gorillas and can take from as little as half an hour up to five hours.
- If you have the afternoon free, you can choose to drive around.
Stay the night at Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali expand_more
Depart to Kigali for a city tour with lunch en route.
Transfer to the airport for departure.
