Day 1: Road transfer to Bwindi (Approx. 10 hours ) expand_more
- You will be picked up by your tour guide from Entebbe or Kampala at 6 am. Drive towards Masaka with a brief stop at the Equator.
Continuing with your journey to Masaka through roadside trading centres; most of the roadside markets in this area trade in handcrafts, cultural items, and fruits.
Embark on the Mbarara stretch through the Ankole cattle corridor. This part of the journey is very scenic with hills, farmlands, and savanna. Have lunch at Igongo in Mbarara. This place is famous for serving delicious local cuisine buffets. Fast foods are available on order.
Drive for another 5-6 hours via Ntungamu – Rukungiri before you turn off onto a dirt road through Kanungu to Bwindi.
Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and stay the night here.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest expand_more
- Have an early breakfast and proceed to the park office for briefing before the tracking begins. Depending on which gorilla family you have been allocated, you will join a group of other travellers, a ranger and an armed guard. Gorilla tracking may take between 2 and 8 hours, depending on the gorilla's activities and movement. The gorilla tracking activity is strenuous and requires physical fitness.
Hike up and down the steep terrain in this dense forest. The sight of these great apes is worth the hike. Allowed an hour to view the gorillas before you exit the forest.
Take a guided walk through the community to catch a glimpse of how they live (if time allows).

Day 3: Transfer by Road Back to Kampala expand_more
Have an early morning breakfast and embark on the drive back to Kampala or Entebbe.
Drop off at your destination in Kampala or Entebbe (packed lunch included).
