    • Depending on your time of arrival, meet the on arrival driver guide who will transfer you to Lake Victoria serene hotel as a start of your tour for your check-in, dinner and overnight. Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa has located approximately 30 km from Entebbe International Airport.

  • Day 2: Domestic flight to Queen Elizabeth NP expand_more
    • After your, breakfast you will be taken to Entebbe Airport/Kajjansi airfield to catch a flight for a safari to Kasese (Queen Elizabeth N.P.)
    • The journey will take you about 2 hours to reach the Kasese airstrip.
    • Upon arrival in Kasese, you will be picked up from the airstrip by a representative of the tour operator heading to your accommodation, Mweya Safari Lodge, located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Mweya peninsula.
    • Watch wildlife from your private verandah and fall asleep to the roaring of lions on the distant savannah. This truly is Africa!

  • Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise along Kazinga Channel expand_more
    • Today you wake up early.
    • A little before sunrise, coffee/tea will be served in the lounge before you head out for a long game drive in time to see the first rays of light. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s second-largest park, located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. Lions are often sighted both inside and at the entrance to the park.
    • You will search for all the wildlife in the park and are likely to come across elephants, buffalos, lions, waterbucks, leopards, Ugandan kobs, and many warthogs.
    • A well-deserved lunch will be served back at the lodge in the late morning.
    • In the afternoon, take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. Here, see a lot of hippos (more than you can imagine!) and a variety of other animals that come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see buffalo, crocodiles, bathing elephants, and a range of beautiful birds.

  • Day4. Drive to Ishasha for tree climbing lions expand_more
    • Today you will be transferred to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth N.P. This area is called Ishasha and is famous for its tree-climbing lions.
    • To escape from the heat during the day, the lions learned how to climb the fig trees. If you’re lucky, you might spot a few during your afternoon game drive.
    • After the game drive, you will be taken to Ishasha Wilderness Camp, a charming and luxurious lodge with beautiful views over the savanna and a river packed with hippos!

  • Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park expand_more
    • After breakfast, you will do another game drive and have a chance to spot the tree-climbing lions. 
    • After lunch at Ishasha Wilderness Camp, you will be transferred to Buhoma in Bwindi, home of the mountain gorillas.

  • Day 6: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi forest expand_more
    • Prepare yourself for an encounter with one of Bwindi’s gentle giants: the rare mountain gorilla. This is the absolute highlight of their safari in Uganda for most people. The gorillas you will track belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day.
    • Your gorilla trekking will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the gorillas’ habitat. En route, your guide will point out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots.
    • Once the gorillas have been located, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. After that, you will come back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls NP expand_more
    • Today, you will be taken to the Kihihi airstrip, and you will continue your trip to Murchison Falls NP in the north of Uganda. There is no airstrip direct from Kihihi to Murchison Falls, NP so you will fly via Entebbe.
    • On arrival, you will be transferred to Pakuba Safari Lodge, your fantastic accommodation for the next two nights. The views onto the river are vast and magnificent, with islands hosting nesting egret birds, elephants bathing and pods of hippos regularly viewed. All cottages have uninterrupted river views, and there is a swimming pool.

  • Day 8: Game Drive and Boat Cruise expand_more
    • After an early breakfast, tour the Northern section of Murchison with a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffaloes, water-bucks, giraffes, Uganda kob and lions, the leopards (if you are lucky), plus a variety of bird species.
    • Return to your accommodation for lunch and a brief break. 
    • After lunch, you will embark on a 3-hour boat trip to the base of the falls. This trip is the highlight of the safari in Murchison Falls since it allows you to get up close to the animal species within the water. Cruise past huge hippo pods, crocodiles and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. You will have an opportunity to take thousands of pictures, so carry your camera with you if you like.
    • Also, proceed for a hike (if you like) to the top of the falls. The walk is a strenuous one, but the thrill of reaching the top is unforgettable. Miss it only if you must! 
    • Return to your accommodation.

  • Day 9: Top of the falls walk and transfer back to Entebbe expand_more
    • In the morning, you will drive to the top of Murchison Falls. Here, you will have some time to walk around, see an incredible view, and have fantastic photo opportunities!
    • Afterwards, you will go back to your accommodation, where you will have an early lunch (or, if you prefer, you can request a packed lunch). This marks the end of your tour.

What to bring
  • Waterproof hiking boots with good ankle support and grip (to avoid any nasty blisters, ensure you have good walking socks and have worn them in before you depart).
  • Light, breathable, waterproof jackets and trousers, and long-sleeved shirts. Wearing long sleeves and trousers will protect you from insect bites and keep you warm if the weather turns.
  • Hat and sunglasses.
  • A lightweight backpack with enough room for lunch, a reusable water bottle, extra layers, snacks, and essentials like sun cream, insect repellent, after-sun, bite relief cream, and lip balm.
  • Binoculars, so you can spot other wildlife such as birds and monkeys from a distance.
  • Camera with spare batteries and waterproof covering.
