Depart from Kampala for Lake Mburo National Park after having your breakfast. Drive to the park with a stop at the equator for an opportunity to stand in both the northern and southern hemispheres at the same time. Proceed through the savannah grasslands, observing banana plantations and herds of local long-horned Ankole cattle common to this part of the country. Upon arrival at the park, check in at the reserved lodge. Have lunch, after which you will go for a boat launch on Lake Mburo to see animals like hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up early and enjoy a warm cup of tea before heading out for a game drive through the park in search of game like zebras, hippos, crocodiles, elands, antelopes, impalas, and a variety of bird species. Return to your lodge for breakfast, then head out for a nature walk with an experienced guide. Walk to the salt lick area, which offers a chance to see at least four different species of animals. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, head for a horseback ride for a shorter duration to see the animals at close range while on horseback. Afterwards, have your lunch meal and check out to start the return journey to Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon.
