Embark on this 4-day trek through the famous Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Track gorillas while trekking through the scenic landscape of the Park and enjoy learning about the different species of animals.     • On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by the representative and transferred to the hotel for the overnight. Just before a unique experience: the mountain gorilla tracking to one of the six habituated families, and this program can be arranged for starting from Kampala or Kigali.

  • Day 2- Kigali - Volcanoes National Park expand_more
    • After breakfast, go on a short city tour of the capital town of Rwanda.

    • After lunch, in the afternoon, leave in the direction of Volcanoes National Park. It takes about 3 hours drive.

    • Enjoy dinner and overnight at the hotel of your choice (under Full Board).

    • Mid-range lodge located just outside Volcanoes NP

  • Day 3- Gorilla tracking in the Tropical Rain Forest expand_more
    • Eat an early breakfast.

    • Go for mountain gorilla trekking into the rain tropical forest of Volcanoes National Park. 

    • After the briefing from the rangers of the Ortpn (the Rwanda Park Authority), you reach the starting point of your trekking, according to the family you have been appointed to. It is on the park authority to decide on the distribution of the permits on arrival. You carry with you a packed lunch and a light rain jacket, wear trekking boots.

    • In the afternoon, you can go for a community walk at the eco-tourist site of Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village.

    • Enjoy dinner and overnight at the hotel (under Full Board).

  • Day 4- Volcanoes National Park - Kigali expand_more

  • Volcanoes National Park is the Rwanda section of the more extended Virunga Conservation Area shared between Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo DRC. It is the chain of nine volcanoes that make its territory, including Karisimbi (4.507 m), Visoke, Sabinyo, Muhavura. The altitude ranges from 2400 m to 4,000 m and is more on the peaks.

  • You can visit the families of the endangered golden monkeys. Mount Visoke hosts the tombs of the American primatologist Dian Fossey and of the gorilla cemetery.
