Description

Embark on an adventure to immerse yourself in the beauty of northern Tanzania's most famous national park, Serengeti Park. During the game drives in the Serengeti, you'll have the opportunity to spot the legendary "Big Five" - lions, elephants, rhinoceros, leopards, and buffalos. Marvel at the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings at Tarangire National Park, and explore Seronera River and its nearby wildlife.

Highlights
  • Enjoy a full-day game drive at Tarangire National Park
  • Explore the wildlife at Serengeti National Park along with Seronera Area
  • Marvel at the vast array of animals and birdlife at Ngorongoro Conservation
  • Day 1: Arusha-Tarangire National Park expand_more
    • Get picked up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:30 AM and drive to Tarangire National Park.

    • Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park consists of natural vegetation, mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings.

  • Day 2: Tarangire -Serengeti National Park expand_more
    • After breakfast, head towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

    • Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

  • Day 3: Serengeti-Ngorongoro expand_more
    • Enjoy early breakfast and meet your guide for a last-morning game drive in Serengeti National Park.

    • Depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area with an en-route game drive and picnic lunch. Ngorongoro is a special conservation area and not a National Park. The area is managed for animals and local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife.

  • Day 4: Ngorongoro-Arusha expand_more
    • Descend into the crater after breakfast, and enjoy 5 hours game drive in the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world's most densely crowded African wildlife areas and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a wide variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its vast predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard.

    • Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

    • Return to Arusha.
