Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park expand_more
Meet your tour guide at a pre-decided location in Dar es Salaam.
Make your way to Mikumi town, located 283 kilometres from Dar es Salaam, with your tour guide and driver. You will arrive at Mikumi in the late afternoon of the same day.
Arrive at your lodge and relax for half an hour before the driver picks you for a Maasai tour at a Maasai village.
Visit the Maasai village. The Maasai people are a tribal ethnic group inhabiting northern, central and southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. They are among the best known due to their reputation as pastoral warriors, their residence near the many game parks of the African Great Lakes, and their distinctive customs and dress.
Return to your lodge for dinner and rest for the night.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park Full-Day Safari expand_more
Rise early for breakfast at the lodge.
Depart after breakfast for a full day game drive in the Mikumi National Park up to sunset. Keep an eye out for the most commonly seen animals at Mikumi: elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, crocodiles, hippopotami, and baboons. If you're lucky, you may even catch glimpses of lions and leopards.
Enjoy a birdwatching experience during the safari. Mikumi National Park has over three hundred species of birds, and your guide will help you locate some of them.
Visit the Hippo Pool, where you can watch hippos wallowing and snorting at close range.
Drive back to the lodge for dinner and rest overnight.

Day 3: Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam expand_more
Rise early for breakfast and check-out from the lodge.
Set out for Dar es Salaam with a packed lunch. On the way, you will be taken for a short morning game drive en-route to the city.
Reach your accommodation or a pre-decided location at Dar es Salaam after an exhilarating three-day safari experience.
