Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara expand_more
Get picked up by private jeep and transfer to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge for hot lunch.
Lake Manyara National Park has a wonderful mosaic of different habitats, which attracts a whole host of animals including a high density of elephants.
Look out for monkeys, antelopes, zebras, and hippos too. The park is also known for its lions, who have developed the unusual behavior of climbing trees for their afternoon snooze. However, they have not mastered the art of dragging their kill high into the branches, as the leopard is so adept at doing.
Bird life is fascinating at Lake Manyara and numbers are at their peak during the rainy season when seed-eaters, insect-eaters, and water birds thrive. Pelicans, storks, geese, herons, and cormorants share the water habitat with migrant flamingos, who come and feed on the algae rich water and turn the crystalline edges of the soda lake into a vibrant pink.
Overnight at Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti expand_more
Depart with picnic lunch boxes for Serengeti National Park.
Go for a game drive on the Serengeti plains, searching for migration, the largest concentration of plains game (wildebeest, zebra and gazelle) to be found anywhere in the world.
Also, spot predators (lion and cheetah) and scavengers (hyena and jackals) together with elephant, buffalo, giraffe, warthog, and many other species of both big and small game.
Enjoy a game drive by private jeep till late evening.
Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp.
-
Day 3: Serengeti National Park expand_more
Begin with an exploratory game drive through Tanzania’s oldest and most recognized National Park, the Serengeti. This location offers the most expansive game viewing in Tanzania.
From predators to prey, great herds of grazing herbivores to tactically cunning packs of carnivores, life on the plains of the Serengeti can best be defined as a complete “circle of life.”
Spend today searching out impala, one of Africa's most beautiful and graceful animals. Previously thought to be part of the gazelle tribe, impalas have been found to be so different that they are now classified as their own sub-family status. Predators like leopards, cheetah, lion, and wild dogs prey on impala.
An impala can reach running speeds of approximately 50 to 55 mph (80 to 90 km/h) to escape its predators.
Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro expand_more
Guests will be provided with a personalized, experienced tracker guide and private transportation today while exploring around the Ngorongoro National Park grounds.
Explore one of the most recognized wildlife conservation areas in Tanzania today.
Depart from camp or lodge in a privately driven vehicle, along with a local expert guide, for approximately a 20 to 30-minute drive towards the Ngorongoro Park Gate. It will then take another 20 minutes to reach the crater rim itself.
Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. This geological masterpiece was formed as a result of an extremely large volcanic explosion which caused the volcano to collapse in on itself, thus creating a crater.
Crater floor also boasts one of the highest carnivore densities in the world, including large pride of lions, packs of hyenas, and solitary predators like cheetahs and jackals.
Overnight at Ngorongoro Oldean Mountain Lodge.
-
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Arusha expand_more
Descend to the rim of the crater for game viewing. A keen eye and expertly recommended search patterns from the guide may help spot some of the less common species like leopards, servals, and bat-eared foxes.
Later, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha.
