Enjoy an 8-hour walking tour in Istanbul to see one of the first palaces built in this city. Visit Dolmabahçe Palace and Istiklal Avenue Walk, which means Independence Avenue. Move to Galata Mevlevihanesi, which dates back to 1491, and see the museum complex of the Galata Mevlevi Lodge.     • Visit Dolmabahçe Palace, Turkey’s largest mono-block palace which was commissioned by Sultan Abdulmecit in 1843. Built to belie the military and financial decline of the Ottoman Empire, Istanbul’s first European-style palace was an opulent one, excessive in size and lavishly decorated with gold and crystal to impress the world.
    • Head to Istiklal Avenue Walk. Istiklal Street which means “Independence Avenue” is a 1,5 km. long colorful pedestrian street and grand boulevard cutting through Beyoglu and full of all kind of shops, restaurants, cafes, street shows and it is located by the Taksim Square. The nostalgic tram runs through the length of the Istiklal Street.
    • Move to Galata Mevlevihanesi, which dates back to 1491 and has become a museum in 1975 under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, the Galata Mevlevi Lodge (Galata Mevlevihanesi) is an exciting museum showcases variety of Turkish calligraphic art items, music items and items belonging to the Mevlevi culture.
    • See the museum complex of the Galata Mevlevi Lodge entails real properties of culture that still exist today. The main museum buildings include the Semahane, Halet Efendi Shrine, Sheikh Galib Shrine, Sebilküttab building, Adile Sultan Fountain, Hasan Aga Fountain and the mevlevi cemetery “Hamuflan”.
    • Go to Galata Tower, one of Istanbul’s most iconic visuals, overlooking the city from its perched position, while the colorful lights of the tower can be seen at night from all over the city
    • Stop by Taksim Tüne, which connects İstanbul's Karaköy and Beyoğlu in a 90-second ride, is the second oldest metro in the world.
