Follow the Inca Trail which will take you through several Inca sites and a variety of flora and fauna on this 2-day hiking trip. Explore this 15th-century Inca citadel, admire panoramic views through the Sun Gate and learn about the history of Incas. Experience riding in the Vistadome Panoramic train from Machu Picchu to back to Ollantaytambo.

    • You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco. Start your journey to Ollantaytambo by train to Km 104.

    • Disembark the train and start trekking on the short Inca Trail.

    • Hike along the impressive ancient Inca Trails, visit beautiful Inca sites, enjoy the variety of flora and fauna, and arrive at Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate.

    • Explore Machu Picchu in the afternoon with fewer people and take that incredible photo while the citadel is almost empty.

    • Take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, eat dinner at Indio Feliz, and spent the night in a 3-star hotel.

  • Day 2: Explore - Machu Picchu! expand_more

    • Wake up early after a good night’s sleep, eat breakfast in the hotel, and take the bus up to Machu Picchu.

    • Explore the great 15th-century Inca Citadel with your expert tour guide, discover the most beautiful temples, palaces, and learn the history of the Incas.

    • Finish the guided tour, explore by yourself or take the optional hikes to either Huayna Picchu (2 hours round trip) or Machu Picchu mountain (3 hours round trip). 

    • Take the Vistadome Panoramic train back to Ollantaytambo later in the afternoon.

    • Find your vehicle which will be waiting for you and transfer you back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel around 7:30 pm.
