Embark on this exciting excursion and trek through the many ranges of Huayhuash like Puna pass, Pocpa Valley, and Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass. Witness the three different colours lake of Siula Lakes and enjoy spotting and walking with the Andean rabbits called Vizcachas. Join hands in the donation drive, possible only because of your contributions.

  • Day 1- Community Support Day in Huaraz expand_more
    • Meet your guide and spend the day settling in or visit nearby stops like lakes, natural touristic places, and local artisans.

    • Visit the community region where the guides will donate the contributions made by you.

    • Return to Huaraz hotel by 7 p.m.
  • Day 2- Head to Llamac expand_more
    • Pack your bags and leave for Llamac (5 hours drive), crossing the wild Puna Conococha pass and the southernmost peaks of the Cordillera Blanca. See the Huayhuash range, containing seven of the highest and most dramatic summits in a single cluster in Peru, while descending to Llamac.

    • Continue going up through the Pocpa valley, and reach a peasant town, typically called Pocpa 3600. It is the last town in this valley where you can buy some soda drinks to get through the sunny day. 

    • Arrive in Pallca at 1 p.m. and have lunch. 

    • Get to your camping site at Matacancha (after a half-hour walk) and see Ninashanca Mountain (5607 masl) and Rondoy (5870 masl). 

    Overnight camping at Cuartelhuain at (4200masl). 

    Meals: Lunch/Dinner included.

  • Day 3- Trek for 10 hours and Reach the Camp site expand_more
    • Have breakfast, get ready and at 8 am, start your trek. (The trek will be challenging because climbing to the pass will take about 2 or 3 hours). From the pass, go down, then go up approx. 30 minutes and spot the Andean rabbits called Vizcachas while on the way. 

    • Reach the next pass, and enjoy the white peaked mountains such as Yerupaja, Jirishanca, and Siula.

    • Get to your camp at approximately 5 or 6 pm, where the camps will be facing the lake. (Camp at 4150 masl; distance covered- 8.7 miles (18km) and 10 hrs of trekking)

    Meals: B/L/D included.

  • Day 4- Head to See Siula Lakes expand_more
    • Have breakfast at 8 a.m. and start your trekking to see three different colour lakes of Siula Lake.

    • Head to Siula Pass (4850masl) and have lunch next to the Carnicero lakes.

    • Descend and arrive at the camping place. (distance covered- 13.8 km, 8 hrs of trekking, camp at 14,355 ft)

  • Day 5- Trek to Huayhuash Pass expand_more
    • Have breakfast, and continue your trek to the Portachuelo de Huayhuash Pass, from where you descend to the camp place Viconga to have lunch.

    • Go to the hot springs, 20 minutes walking down from the camp place or rest in the camp for the afternoon. (The camp place will be at 4390 masl; distance covered- 11 km; 5-6 hrs of trekking, camp at 14,480 ft.)

  • Day 6- Explore the Cajatambo Village expand_more
    • Eat breakfast at the campsite in Viconga, and depart along the valley with a landscape that matches the natural colour of dark hills, white snow peaks and the blue sky.

    • Walk along the valley and start hiking to the pass for Cajatambo (4700masl), the last view of Huayhuash mountains.

    • Continue to walk down for about two hours to Cajatambo, arriving around 2 pm for lunch and accommodation in a hostel.

    • Have lunch and walk around the Cajatambo village. (distance covered- 12 km walking; 6 hours trekking)

    Have dinner and saty for the night at camp (3375masl).

  • Day 7- Return Journey expand_more
    • Enjoy early hot drinks at a restaurant or hostel's restaurant at around 5 a.m. as the bus departs for Lima at 6 a.m.

    • Board the bus and go along the dark hills down to the coast area. Witness the climate change as you go down until sea level.

    • Arrive at Pativilca, a village at sea level in the coastal area and take the Pan American highway to reach the city of Barranca, where you will have lunch.

    • Drive direct to Lima or Huaraz (depending on your starting point) to reach the hotel.

This benefit is organized in presence of the contributors so the person who cooperated with the guides buying the tours and travel products will enjoy this tour to some selected place. 

  • To organize the donation, the guides don’t have preference to any part of village, community or people; they sort some village, community far from city and find out carefully and investigate their real needs and situations with help of some local governors or priests or someone- who help us with this organization to benefit their community when they find a real person, children, elder people, homeless or some community in real need, we assign for the next acclimatizing tour, full day.
